ADHD Therapeutic Coaching & Post-diagnostic Support

 

With a qualification in ADHD coaching and in the Fusion model of therapeutic coaching*, both accredited by The Association for Coaching, I am able to provide a post diagnostic therapy and coaching service very much tailored to the needs of the client.

Setting goals, identifying strengths and challenges, reframing negative thinking and forming new, more helpful habits are all key components of coaching. For the neurodivergent individual we often need to consider issues with self esteem, RSD, relationships and burnout as well as taking into account the very real challenges with executive function. Unlike typical coaching, I offer a solution focused and guided approach where helpful and use tools such as relaxation and guided visualisations to support embedding the change. I have an unwavering neuroaffirmative approach to my practice.

I work with young people and adults, providing remote sessions via Teams and, following a free initial consultation, each hourly session is charged at £65.

'When counselling and coaching combine'

Therapeutic coaching integrates three main concepts:


Person Centered Counselling
Empowering the client to take ownership of their own mental wellbeing. Through empathy and unconditional positive regard, the client is able to positively change themselves.


Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
A talking therapy that helps us manage our difficulties by challenging the way we think and behave. Working on the premise that how we think about situations directly impacts the way we feel and the way we feel will effect our behaviour, CBT is commonly used to treat  anxiety and depression and other related difficulties.

Human Givens
A practical and solution focused approach which deals with mental and emotional distress in the here and now and helps us to feel better quickly.
